Here are our major trips in 2017:

• February - Valentine's Day in Gruene, Texas
• July - Cottage in Maine
• November - Thanksgiving in South Carolina
• December - Caribbean Cruise

Our first trip was close to home - Gruene, Texas for Valentins'a Day. Kathy found a cottage for us near Canyon Lake and not too far from Gruene.

We went to the McWhorter's Lake House for the Fourth of July. Holly and Brian came also.

Later in July Kathy and I spent a week in a cabin on the coast of Maine. Neither of us had spent any time there before. The cottage was picturesque, in the woods, with flowers and a path down to the water. There was an upper deck (the picture of Kathy below on the left) where we sat in the evenings. The flowers on the coast enhanced Kathy's picture below on the right.

Later in the year the Austin Newcomers Photography Group had a shoot in Zilker Botanical Gardens. Here are a couple of pictures

In November we went to Charleston, South Carolina for Thanksgiving. We visited with Audrey, Dan, Tess and Henry. We toured some antebellum plantations (pictures below). We drove through the Trail of Lights (link below).

In early December, Kathy's daughter got married to Brian Gambs.

In December we went on a Christmas Cruise to the Caribbean.
