Glacier National Park - Photography WorkshopJuly 2010In July of 2010, Kathy and I went to Glacier National Park near Kalispell, Montana to participate in a photography workshop. The workshop was put on by the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. I had been to two of their workshops before and found them to be very well done and informative. The first half of the week we stayed in the Many Glacier Hotel on the east
side of the park. That is it in the picture below with Swiftcurrent Lake in
the background. For 3 days we got up early and stayed up late taking dawn and dusk pictures of the lakes, mountains, flowers and streams on the east side of the park. Here are some of Kathy's pictures from those photo shoots. And here are some of mine. After the dawn shoot on Wednesday, We drove across the park to the west side on the "Going to the Sun" road. We checked into the Belton Chalet (see the picture below) and had a critique session in the afternoon.
Over the next 3 days we again did dawn and dusk shoots and edited pictures and had critique sessions in between. We were exhausted. But we took some interesting photographs. Here are some of Kathy's pictures from those photo shoots. And here are some of mine. We worked hard and we had fun!
