New Year's Cruise 2006-2007 Photo GallereyWe took a short cruise to Mexico over New Years. Three other couples went with us - Mac and Dava McWhorter, Tim and Martha O'Connell, and Ron and Sandy Grannan. Some of the hundreds of pictures that we took are shown below. We left Galveston on Saturday, December 30th. The start of the trip was stressful - it took several hours to get into the parking lot and board the ship. And the ship was several hours late leaving. But after that we had a relaxing time. That night we had a nice dinner and saw a fun show. And that night there was an elephant on the bed.
Sunday, New Year's Eve - At SeaOn Sunday, New Year's Eve, we were at sea all day. We explored the ship during the day and went to a show and dance at night. The sign changed from 2006 to 2007. And that night there was a dog on the bed.
New Year's Day - At Sea and CozumelBecause we had left Galveston so late two days earlier, we were still at sea Monday morning. But the weather had turned warm and sunny, so we enjoyed being out on deck. And in the afternoon we arrived in Cozumel. In the evening we watched the lights on the ship. And that night there
was a sting ray on the bed.
Tuesday - ProgresoBy Tuesday we had made up some time and arrived in Progreso only a few hours late. We went into town, had lunch near the beach, did some shopping and then took a mangrove tour to do some birdwatching. And that night there was a monkey near the bed.
Wednesday - At Sea Heading for HomeOn Wednesday we were at sea heading back towards Galveston. We relaxed and
played cards. And that night there were seals on the bed.
